Rated 5 out of 5 by harpolemond from Lightweight and portable Just purchased. Some trouble with set up and manual was only marginal for help. Once the Arm was set up and understood how it worked all was well. I had only little trouble installing blade. I suspect someone wrote the manual who is very familiar with the saw. Get someone who is not familiar with it to help you re write it. Otherwise the saw is great. Cuts anything you can throw at it within reason including metal and plastic pipes including aluminum with the right blades. Nice saw and I do recommend it highly

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChuckSr from Good saw with excellent capabilities I bought this saw a week ago, thinking this would be a great option in place of several larger, more cumbersome and space-consuming (as well as much more expensive) power saws. The setup manual was a bit sparse on instructions, mostly pictures like those from IKEA. I had no problems until I got to the blade installation. Following the instructions, I inserted the blade as far as possible, pulled the switch to the left, and lowered the arm. Each attempt to operate the saw resulted in the blade popping out. I assumed it to be a problem with the alignment of the bearings inside of the Guard for the blade, so I have spent the past week attempting to re-align and lubricate those bearings. This morning, I finally came to this site and found this in the FAQ section: "I just installed a new blade, but it’s not sitting straight. How do I fix it?" The answer below solved my problem: "If the blade isn’t fully seated during installation, there is a potential that it can turn in the mechanism as the blade release button is disengaged. Fixing this is easy. Follow the instructions for removing the blade. With the blade release button still engaged, re-seat the blade and make sure it is completely inserted into the mechanism. Hold the blade firmly in place while slowly releasing the blade release button. Once the button is completely disengaged, release the blade and remove the blade holder." Now, looking back at the drawings, I see that this sequence is actually shown in the drawings, but from my experience, it is easily overlooked. (It doesn't help that I have one hand in a cast!) Perhaps in addition to the sequence shown in the drawing, the paragraph from the FAQ shown above could be added to the Troubleshooting chart following the paragraph on MAINTENANCE replacing the current Possible Solution for "Blade is not clamped tightly by the Blade Holder."

Rated 5 out of 5 by SUNDOWN CUSTOM GUITARS from the most versatile saw i have ever owned as a professional luthier with a high demand for custom built guitars this saw is great.. with 2 table saws and a bandsaw I keep finding myself going to this saw first. the rips are outstanding and very accurate.. cutting out guitar bodies and headstocks are a real breeze.. my jigsaws are put away now that I have this saw. Rockwell outdid themselves with this one.. high quality, versatile, easy to use, and takes on any cut I need to make and it has cut my production time down by 35%.. I don't know how I ever got along without this saw. I just cant say enough on how great this is.. I LOVE IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Riko from Really great for those in between jobs When the job is too big for a hobby jig saw and too small for a full size table saw. The blade selection is good, but what should you use for 1/8 inch plastic?

Rated 5 out of 5 by roper1965 from A True Workhorse! The BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is a true workhorse! I need something strong, portable and lasting & this has been a blessing. I bought a fixer-upper, so, I've used this to redo my condo and now my son is using it to work on his house. It has the power to do any job I ask of it & then some, plus it's easy to use and quick set-up. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by gfry from Unbelievable! This is a beautiful machine and it works (worked) really well. I have used this machine 3 times, but just today I went to use it again, (for the 4th time), and I could NOT change out the saw blade I had in it from the last time I used this machine. The red button for disengaging the cutter does NOT work now! I had to use a flat-head screwdriver to manually rotate the collar/collet in a counter clockwise direction to release the existing jig saw blade as well as enable me to install a different one! I have, so far, never cut anything other than wood - and the thickest of them all was only 3/4'. What do I need to do to get this resolved because I love the design of this machine and it fits the bill for a lot of things I need to do that other machines are not as efficient for?

Does this unit come with anything used to attach it to a wall??
Can BladeRunner cut travertine? If so, what blade should I use? I did not see an answer to the question about cutting glass. If so, what blade would you use?
How can I get a replacement yellow safety key for the ROCKWELL-BladeRunnerX2-4-in-Carbon-5-5-Amp-Table-Saw?
I'm having the same issue, and from what I've ready, this part should fit the Rockwell Bladerunner: Ridgid TS2400LS 10" Table Saw Replacement Switch Key # 826122. It's about $6 on Amazon.

Where can I buy the Vacuum adapter for my bladerunner x2 ?
I just asked the same question about purchasing a Vacuum Adapter for my BladeRunner. I couldn't find one on RockwellTools.com. I'm going to do a websearch for a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter/reducer for my shopvac. Google should find something suitable.

I need 230V ac. do you available?
Thank you for your question. The BladeRunner is 110V and we do not have inverters available, nor do we recommend for use with an inverter. The BladeRunner may be available with your requirements, internationally. Thank you for choosing Rockwell!
