Rated 5 out of 5 by Dawesguy from Engineering paid off! No vibrations, sands amazing! Got this just before finishing an outdoor cedar shower. Used it on trim and walls. First impression was the disks would disintegrate quickly being 2 pieces. Well I was wrong, It is the best most comfortable hand sander I have ever used. Waiting to see how durable this turns out to be, reviews before mine had the velcro coming loose, but this has not been my experience for over 15 hard hours of use! It really is vibration free, but would have liked to see a speed control. This has become my 'go to' hand sander, and highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cuevas1 from Great Sander!!!! This sander is very powerful it get the job done and reduce the work time. The base is made out of aluminum for extra durability and its easy to change the pads. The sander is not hard to use at all especially or me being a woman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by R h o n d a from Smooth as Silk! As a self proclaimed treasure broker, I'm always on the hunt for a great project. I've used the Rockwell Vibrafree Random Orbit Sander on many projects over the years b/c it's so lightweight, easy to use and has it's own dust port. My latest is this plant stand that I bought at an estate auction. I typically just paint over stuff to make it look shabby vintage but in this case, I felt the need to uncover before recovering. To my surprise, the yucky varnish table top revealed a beautiful and unique wood grain after just a few easy passes with the Vibrafree sander. It was so appealing that I decided to leave the top natural. And, I also decided that I was going to keep this one for myself!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Home Projects from Good tool, lacks durability I purchased this model a year and a half ago to use around the house. The unit did a great job on paint and drywall, basic wood products, and touching up concrete. After a number of uses, the internal pad hook and look completely tore out when replacing the sanding pad. It looks like the unit has poor quality pad assembly materials that, when heated, become pliable and allow the foam coating to be come weak with heat. This is an example of poor engineering resulting in a tool that has a great working motor and poor applicator parts; the cost to replace the pad assembly is ~$15 less than buying a whole new unit. Discouraging to say the least.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Woodchuck from Great concept, second one I've had. Both had the same issue with the Velcro shortly after purchase. The overpriced paper won't stick to the sander.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chad from Outer pad failed after < 12hrs of use. The sanding pads are attached to the base by velcro. The velcro side that is permanently a part of the base, ripped free after only 10th change of the sanding pad.
