Rated 5 out of 5 by DIY Foster Mom from DIY Foster mom I started making simple things for my clasroom such as an 4x6 art table for children to sit at, but more importantly so there was enough space for the educator and students to lay out their materials. As you can imagine I wuold go to Home Depot and have them cut everything for me, which led me to purchasing a compound sliding miter saw. The problem came when I wanted to make a flip top desk I found on the internet using plywood. Home depot cut the larger pieces, but when it came to the narrow strips 1 1/2" to 2" wide by 48" I realized I wanted a table saw rather than borrow my brothers circular hand saw. Well, it was now me and Google searching various brands, not knowing what I should be looking for. I must have watched more than 20 videos learning about table saws, reading what feels like endless reviews, and of course reviewing numerous side by side comparisons of saws. In the end, I liked the idea of being able to cut a 4x4, although I have no idea what diy project I could possibly use a 4x4 for in my upcoming projects, and although there were a few complaints that they could not cut through a 4x4, I kepr coming back to rockwell. Another key reason I purchased the table saw was a huge discount I found on the internet which put my total cost around $260 and free shipping at the end of November 2019. As a new person interested in making my on tables, media consoles, desk, and whatever else I can think of, I am happy with my purchase. Some people have complained about the instructions, but I honestly did not have any problems. You read and then look at the reference picture (for me this was key becauae I am still learning the names of all of the parts). Now, I personally did not turn it on to test until my brother came over later inthe day, where he made one adjustment and told me I put the blade guard in the wrong spot. For little old me, I have absolutely no complaints and for the new diy'ers ready to take the leap of faith on this major purchase, make sure you look for coupons and wait for holiday discounts. Oh, I also loved the video package and would have loved to puchase the accessories advertised, but no longer available. Great visual marketing tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan V from Was on the fence, but customer service won me over Have been bouncing around about getting a new saw. Found this in a late night web crawl and started reading. As a home gamer, not too heavy but have found this a great replacement to my 15 year old rigid 10in saw. After attempting to order form the Rockwell, an error happened, price jumped and I called customer care. After explaining to the agent (Jordan was his name I think) stood by the price that was before the jump! He even drop shipped to my house at a lower price! Well done Customer Service Team! Started digging around in the manual, like the idea of the 3 ad-dons. Looking further I wish that the accessories where not discontinued, customer care what can you do to find RW9188, RW9189 and RW9556? Out of the box the saw cut very straight and the supplied blade is ok, mine was lose in the box. Currently running a 60 tooth blade. My bottom line is after 60 feet of lumber cut, very happy. Will keep looking for the accessories unless someone from Rockwell wants to reach out I would love to add these to my shed!!! Thanks Rockwell for a great cost effective tool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TrickyRick from Easy Portability I have had this table saw for about 6 months and am still finding things to like about it. Everything has been well thought out. Fence is dead-on true to the scale. Virtually no other saw out there has included the foldover extention for the fence allowing rip cutting capacity. A jewel of a saw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1eyedJack from Best bang for the buck Have owned the Jobsite saw for 2 years and I think it is well worth the price. I have limited space and it is easy to setup and put away. Plenty of power even on hardwood. Laser should be triggered with power switch. Not battery powered.

Is the motor a soft start?
I just purchased an RK7241S and really like it. Does Rockwell offer an attachment for hooking the table saw up to a dust collection system?
Thank you for your question. The Rockwell Jobsite Table Saw comes equipped with a dust bag for dust collection.
